10 Modern Home Must Haves
When you step inside my modern farmhouse, you’ll notice that every detail was chosen with both beauty and function in mind. I’ve learned that the magic is in the details, and today I’m sharing 10 of my favorite modern home must-haves. To me, a modern farmhouse should feel timeless yet current, cozy yet open — and these 10 must-haves are what make that balance possible in my own home. We opted for ceramic fire balls (from Amazon!) over wood to compliment the modern look.
Out of sight, but never out of mind — a hidden butler’s pantry keeps the main kitchen clean and clutter-free. It’s the perfect spot to tuck away small appliances, prep food for a party, or store pantry staples in style.To the right of the fridge, the pantry door blends seamlessly with the cabinetry, keeping my kitchen clean and appliances off the counter.
A walk-in shower with sleek rectangular niches is a modern luxury you’ll appreciate every single day. They keep your shampoo, conditioner, and soaps organized without the need for clunky shelving. The streamlined look feels spa-like, while the thoughtful design keeps everything within reach.

Wide plank white oak floors instantly brighten a home and give it a clean, timeless feel. They work beautifully with both modern and traditional elements, making them a smart choice if your style might evolve over the years. They’re durable, warm underfoot, and visually expand the space — perfect for a light, airy modern farmhouse look.
