Porche Picks: How to Create Affordable Framed Tapestries
Large designer framed tapestries can be very expensive. Luckily we have found an affordable, fun and EASY way to get the designer look quickly and for much less. Even better, you can select a tapestry that perfectly pulls in the colors and tones throughout your space! Below we are linking our favorite 18”x18” rug samples. Almost all of them are below $50 and come within a few days!

Now it is time to pick a frame for your rug sample! The first step is to select one of our favorite frames (below) from Framebridge. Framebridge makes it so easy to frame custom artwork! It is a go-to for our clients and in Emily’s own home. Framebridge offers a float mount mat option which is perfect for these rug samples.
When you are selecting a frame, you will want to select the “textile” option for the artwork. then you will select the “float mount frame”. If you select the 18”x18” size for your tapestry width and height (which is the size of the rug sample), this will create a final frame size of about 22”x22”. If you want a larger frame, you can checkout and then email Framebridge and let them know the frame size you are wanting. They can adjust on their end and easily bill your card for the difference. Adding size to the frame will allow for a larger mat surrounding the rug sample. In the studio, we did a 7” mat on each side of the rug sample and an overall frame size of 32”x32”.
Once you order your frame, framebridge will send you a prepaid mailer to send your rug sample to them with in a few days. jUST PLACE IT IN THE MAILER AND DROP IT OFF AT UPS! THEN SIT BACK AND WAIT ABOUT A WEEK TO RECEIVE YOUR GORGEOUS CUSTOM FRAMED TAPESTRY!
