Porche Picks: Favorite Faux Interior Plants
We frequently get asked about our favorite plants that we use in our clients homes and designs, so today, we rounded up our favorite faux plants for you! From artificial trees to stems, we are sharing our current favorites! When selecting faux plants, it’s so important to choose one that is very life-like. Plants can breath life and warmth into a space- yes, even fake ones. They also add natural texture and dimension. We are a firm believer that greenery (real or faux) can make a huge difference in any space. For this reason, we absolutely love incorporating them into our designs! No need to worry if you don’t have a green thumb- keeping plants alive inside is HARD. Faux plants may not clean your air, but they can completely change the feel of it! Bringing nature inside can have such a calming effect throughout your home.
Our favorite place to incorporate faux greenery is coffee tables, console tables, end tables/bedside tables and empty corners. Be sure that you take into account the height of your walls and the width of the area for the plant. If you’d like to choose your own pretty pot for the plant, be sure that you know the size of the pot that comes with plant and get a planter that is larger than this to ensure the perfect fit!
If you get a pot that is big enough for your faux plant, you likely won’t need a filler because you wont be able to see the base of the faux plant. However, if you do feel like you want a filler, we recommend river rock or faux moss!
