PACKAGE SELECTION :: 2D VISION BOARD
ROOM CHOICE :: Guest Bedroom

OVERVIEW ::

We had a blast designing these two guest bedrooms for our client. This client recently finished their basement and we had the pleasure of designing most of the spaces in it. We wanted to ensure cohesiveness and consistency between both bedrooms (they are connected by a shared bathroom) whilst still creating two separate thoughtful rooms. We employed similar elements throughout to ensure flow such as the curtains, shades, olive tree and mirror. Each bedroom employs muted but warm tones with contrasting pieces throughout creating an inviting sanctuary of rest for any guests.

Guest Bedroom One:

For the first guest room, we chose a beautiful hand-knotted patterned warm wool area rug that helps to ground and define the space. It creates a warm textured and unique statement piece in the room adding cohesion amongst all of the elements found throughout the space. We selected antique metal nightstands for this room as they will create a nice natural and unexpected contrast against the upholstered bed. The nightstands will cohesively draw in the darker metals and accents found throughout the space (fan, mirror, curtain rods, artwork frame, etc). The drawers & baskets on the nighstands will provide additional storage for guests. We love the warm and bright contrast that the woven lamps lend against the nightstands. We went with a raw wood toned dresser full of clean modern lines to further draw in unexpected shapes and warmth to the space. This dresser is modern but timeless and provides ample storage for guests' clothing items. Next to the dresser, we placed a woven basket and a faux but realistic potted olive tree for balance and function.

Guest Bedroom Two:

For this bedroom, we selected this gorgeous handcrafted muted area rug with a subtle vintage pattern that will ground the space with bright texture and interest. We chose to incorporate black wood toned nightstands with clean modern lines to contrast the light upholstered bed. The lines on the nightstands tie in with the clean lines found throughout on the dresser, ottomans and curtain rods. The these metal sconces with linen shades will add functionality and softness to the space. The arch on the sconces mirror the arch found on the floor mirror breaking up the modern sleek lines throughout the space. We selected this bright upholstered wingback queen sized bed for this space. It creates a soft focal point between the black wood nightstands. The white duvet cover and textured patterned but muted pillows will create a bright and soft haven for guests to retreat to at the end of a long day.

These are going to be gorgeous guest bedrooms and create such a nice retreat for any guests. We cannot wait to see it come to life in our client’s home!
