How to style a coffee table
We always have SO much fun sharing our design how-tos with you each week. This week we are sharing, “How to Style a Coffee Table”! These trends focus around some of our tried and true tricks that we use in our client’s homes in hopes that you can easily take take back and implement them in your own homes. We get asked about Modern Transitional styling all the time. It is inviting, timeless and full of interest. Styling a home can seem like a daunting task, but we have a few simple design trends that make it much easier than it seems…your coffee table will look professionally styled in NO time with our simple tips below!
When considering how to style & decorate your coffee table- keep in mind that when styling a round table vs. a rectangle table there aren’t too many differences except the decor on a round table will be arranged in a more triangular fashion and the decor on a rectangular table will be arranged more linear.
On both tables we love to style incorporating a vase and stems which are easily changed out as the seasons change. We are loving paper mache bowls (here are our favorite Amazon bowls) with draped beads a top or even a tray underneath to tie everything together. Using stacked books is a great way to elevate other objects wether it be wooden links, or a picture frame and create height and dimension on your coffee table. Using a candle is a great layer and adds inviting warmth to your table. We love to keep everything clean and simple. We are going to dive into more of our favorite tips below!

Adding a ceramic vase or two to your coffee table is the perfect way to bring texture, height and interest to your space.

Adding faux stems to your vase is a great way to bring in some natural tones and warmth. Tall stems are perfect for elevating the space.
Add Large bowl & draped beads to ground the center of the table
We love to use a bowl with draped beads to pull together a textured dimensional styled coffee table. Right now we are loving the look of a paper mache bowl with chunky beads draped over the side.
add a tray underneath layered decor
Adding a tray under smaller objects can bring them all together for a finished, more structured look. I provides structure and anchors all table top items.

Stacking books under an object like wooden links, or a picture frame adds dimension to your table as well as interest.
