OVERVIEW ::

We had so much fun over here at Porche & Co. creating this space for Amanda (@almost_readyblog)! When designing this Formal Living Room, we wanted to the space bright and timeless but full of modern interest. This room is in the front of her house right off to the entry, so it already receives loads of gorgeous natural light. We chose oversized framed double swirl paintings to create a dramatic statement against the darker wall color helping to create a neutral focal point reflecting the natural light back into the space. The full floor length wooden mirror will also help reflect the light into the space lending itself to an inviting and welcoming space to gather upon entry to the home.

We selected the Pottery Barn York Roll Arm slipcovered sofa in the Washed Linen/Cotton, White upholstery. This low profile sofa provides comfort while also capturing the elegant lines of modern European sofas. For the accent chairs, we chose the Edie Swivel Chairs. The lines and wood textures in this chair are incredible and compliment the wood tones and straight lines throughout the space. These will be show stoppers placed directly below the double swirl paintings.

For lighting, we chose the Charlton 3 Arm Chandelier to create a dramatic but simple statement pulling the entire space together with its sleek lines, dark tones & unique shape.

On the opposite side of the room, we selected this beautiful Amalie Cabinet. We love the contrast between the black iron frame and the white interior. This will be a great place to display timeless pieces as well as providing additional storage opportunities.
