These trends focus around some of our tried and true tricks that we use in our client’s homes and outdoor spaces in hopes that you can easily take them back and implement them in your own homes. Styling a home can seem like a daunting task, but we have a few simple design trends that make it much easier than it seems…your outdoor space will be ready for entertaining and look timeless and professionally styled in NO time with our simple tips below!
When considering how to have the best space for entertaining friends and family outside we have a few tips to share with you.
Having a great outdoor cooking area is one of the best things for entertaining friends and family. While everyone is enjoying gathering together it is nice for the one cooking to be able to enjoy that time as well and not be running back and forth inside. This doesn’t have to be a full outdoor kitchen- even a nice grilling space will do!
Multiple comfortable seating areas is a great idea as well while entertaining. Having different areas for people to gather, sit and dine is the perfect way to make sure all your guests are accommodated and it will facilitate conversation.
Outdoor lighting is key when entertaining outside. Having string lights, lanterns, and outdoor chandeliers is a great way to keep the gathering going even as the sun starts to set. At Porche & Co. we love the ambiance that outdoor lighting brings to any outdoor space. It brings the cozy feeling from your home to your outdoor living space.
Another important tip for outdoor entertaining is having a covered place you and guests can get out of the sun. Whether it be an umbrella, or a covered porch or patio all are great options.
