How to Add Interest to Your Home

One of the most fun aspects of home design is adding pieces that add interest to your space and truly make it feel unique to you! There are endless ways to easily add creative and personalized touches to really elevate the look and style of a room. 

One great place to start is by elevating storage from plastic bins to wooden boxes and woven baskets. These are perfect pieces that bring warmth and texture into a space, but are also serve the purpose of storing extra throw blankets, magazines, children’s toys, or anything else you want to keep close but out of the way! Coffee table books are another great way to reflect your own personal tastes and interests while helping to add depth and dimension to your coffee table. We personally love selecting a number of books appropriate for the size of the coffee table and stacking them two or three high. We also recommend getting them in different sizes to add more interest and dimension.

Gallery walls are another fun, creative, and personalized way of adding interest to a space! To keep it looking harmonious and cohesive, we recommend sticking to one size for the pictures and frames, as well as one style of frames for all the pictures used. You can either use personal family photos, or even create a gallery wall of your favorite artwork! How we style gallery walls:

Lastly, vases are an easy and affordable way to bring interest and color in a space. We also love that they are available in so many shapes and sizes! Smaller vases with succulents look fantastic on coffee tables and book shelves, while larger ones are great to fill in empty spaces in corners of rooms or to add a focal point. Whether you choose real or faux stems, adding greenery and plants brings life and interest to the room.
