Styling a home can seem like a daunting task, but we have a few simple design tips that make it much easier than it seems. Your Fall front porch will look amazing with a modern classic and timeless feel that looks professionally styled in NO time with our simple tips below! We can’t think of a better way to welcome friends and family into your home throughout the Fall season.
Labor day has come and gone which means it is officially the start of Fall! Bring on the Pumpkin Spice Lattes, the Fall home decor, Apple picking, football, bonfires and all the fun! It undoubtedly still feels like Summer down here in Georgia, but we are getting in the Fall spirit by bringing you inspiration for your front porch.
For the Fall season, we love to decorate by bringing in natural objects, greenery, and seasonal color palettes. We love making these simple and easy changes for the season so you can start decorating now and keep it up until it is time for holiday decorating. We love the natural texture that these decorations bring, with pops of rust, reds, oranges, and yellows for some color. We believe this simple and natural approach makes it easy to decorate for the Fall season as a whole and its not overdone.
AT PORCHE & CO., WE LOVE DECORATING A FRONT PORCH BY STARTING WITH A WREATH ON THE DOOR, WHICH ADDS TEXTURE AND A FOCAL POINT. NEXT, WE LOVE LAYERING A NEUTRAL PATTERNED RUG WITH A DOORMAT OVER IT FOR INTEREST. A VARIETY OF THROW PILLOWS AND A TEXTURED THROW BLANKET ON THE OUTDOOR FURNITURE ALWAYS ADDS A COZY TOUCH! WE ALSO LIKE TO USE LANTERNS OF VARYING HEIGHT TO PROVIDE WARMTH. LAST, ADD SOME FESTIVE DECOR SUCH AS FAUX OR REAL PUMPKINS AND SOME FALL PLANTS SUCH AS MUMS!
WHEN DECORATING A FRONT PORCH, IT’S EASY TO SWITCH OUT SOME DECOR BUT ALSO UTILIZE WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE! IF YOU HAVE THROW PILLOWS ON OUTDOOR FURNITURE, TRY THROWING IN ONE OR TWO PILLOWS WITH POPS OF RUST OR ORANGE TO BRING IN SOME COLOR. ANOTHER WAY TO REPURPOSE DECOR IS TO KEEP THE RUG UNDERNEATH THE DOORMAT, AND SWITCHING UP THE DOORMAT FOR A MORE ‘FALL THEMED’ MAT. IF YOU HAVE PLANTERS ON YOUR FRONT PORCH, JUST CHANGE OUT THE GREENERY AND ADD SOME MUMS FOR THAT FALL TOUCH.

Tip #1:: START WITH A FRONT DOOR WREATH
A wreath will add texture to the front door as well as a focal point.
TIP #3::Add throw pillows & a textured throw
Adding a variety of seasonal throw pillows and a textured throw blanket to your outdoor furniture will add a sense of warmth and will be the perfect cozy touch.
TIP #5::Add some festive decor
This is where you can add a few Fall decor items such as faux or real pumpkins along with some Fall plants such as mums in your planters!
TIP #2:: layer front door rugs
Start with a neutral patterned larger rug. Layer on top with a Fall door mat to add interest.
TIP #4::Add lanterns of varying heights
Adding lanterns of varying height to different places on your porch provides warmth, ambiance and a feeling of bringing the inside of your home out to your porch.
