OVERVIEW ::
We have had the pleasure of designing the various spaces in Amanda’s (@almost_readyblog) home. Each design has been so much fun, and we are crushing on this recent dining room design! ❤️Amanda is the sweetest soul and an amazing client- she trusts our vision for her spaces and does a wonderful job bringing them to life!
When designing her Dining Room, we kept the other spaces that we designed (below) in her home in mind to ensure a very cohesive flow throughout her home and all of the spaces alike. We wanted to employ neutral, bright and welcoming textures with subtle but impactful focal points throughout each space. We combined classic pieces with subtle modern sleek statements in every space. It was important to keep the Dining Room functional for her family both during random weeknight meals, but also for family and friends to gather during special occasions and holidays.
We selected a natural indoor/outdoor textured rug with black, white and natural tones to cohesively ground the space. The rug will not only provide durability to the eating space, but will also help to pull the Living Room and Dining Room spaces together with the same natural color palette and complimenting natural patterns. Pro Tip- consider indoor/outdoor rugs for under eating areas. They will give you peace of mind and last for years to come!
When choosing a light fixture for her Dining Room, it was important to select one that would purposefully fit the space while also creating a subtle statement that creates a natural flow between the kitchen, dining and living room spaces alike. We decided on this gorgeous natural abaca woven rope pendant. Its linear shape will compliment the dining table shape below and will draw the eye upwards with the unique shape of the fixture and natural woven textured details. The Black Oak Dining Table will pair wonderfully with the black paned windows found throughout the home while creating a timeless durable focal point in the center of the Living Room. We are loving the black furniture trend and feel that it is one to stay. Black pieces can create a nice cohesive pop in a bright space allowing for the simplicity the color to speak for itself in your room. The sleek lines of the dining table create a subtle modern grounding focal point complimented by the natural woven dining chairs and textured centerpiece vases.
We also selected a gorgeous buffet sideboard piece that will cohesively pull together the Living Room design as well as the gorgeous black paned windows found throughout the spaces. This is an extra long buffet that will allow for ample storage and function in the Dining Room space. This buffet is in the same collection as the Living Room bookshelf found on the opposing wall which will help create a natural flow between the spaces. Pro Tip- consider table lamps with natural bases such as concrete, woven materials or plaster. These will make a subtle statement but will also draw natural earthly textures into your space creating a welcoming and timeless feel.

OVERVIEW ::
We absolutely loved designing Amanda’s office space! This space is off of the entry way to her home and is one of the first spaces that you see when you walk in. We wanted to maximize every inch of this room making it functional and drawing the eye in at every turn. We continued the same Modern Classic aesthetic we employed throughout her home utilizing muted but classic textured pieces and clean lines. The rooms in her home will flow seamlessly together while each boasting their own functionality and focal points.
This office is a smaller space in her home, so we chose a fun classic patterned wallpaper to create an accent wall behind the media console. This not only draws the eye in creating a unique standout wall in the space, but the pattern also magnifies the room making it feel larger and brighter! The media console will provide plenty of storage, and the oversized textured wooden desk also boasts plenty of storage options inside.
We chose this modern sophisticated chair to sit behind the desk. We also love the modern armchairs in her space to welcome in office guests. Their antique brass iron framing adds warmth and makes a simple statement in this space.

ROOM CHOICE :: FORMAL LIVING ROOM
OVERVIEW ::
When designing Amanda’s Formal Living Room, we wanted to create a bright and timeless space full of modern cohesive interest. This room also is in the front of her house, so it already receives loads of gorgeous natural light. We chose oversized framed double swirl paintings to create a dramatic statement against the darker wall color helping to create a neutral focal point reflecting the natural light back into the space. The full floor length wooden mirror will also help reflect the light into the space lending itself to an inviting and welcoming space to gather upon entry to the home. Not to mention, the perfect try on area ;)
We selected the Pottery Barn York Roll Arm slipcovered sofa in the ‘Washed Linen/Cotton, White’ upholstery option. This low profile sofa provides comfort while also capturing the elegant lines of modern European sofas. For the accent chairs, we chose the Edie Swivel Chairs. The lines and wood textures found in this chair are compliment the wood tones and straight lines throughout the space. These will be show stoppers placed directly below the double swirl paintings.
For lighting, we chose the Charlton 3 Arm Chandelier to create a dramatic but simple statement pulling the entire space together with its sleek lines, dark tones & unique shape.
On the opposite side of the room, we selected this beautiful Amalie Cabinet. We love the contrast between the black iron frame and the white interior. This is be a great place to display timeless pieces as well as providing additional storage opportunities. This piece also pairs perfectly with the Dining Room buffet in the room adjacent to the Living Room.

OVERVIEW ::
We LOVED getting to design the Sunroom for Amanda’s home! Her family loves to spend time out here and soak in their gorgeous lake views outside. We wanted to create a room that was both functional and welcoming while using natural elements mirroring the natural landscape outside.
To adorn the windows in this room, we added sheer curtains to soften the overall aesthetic. These outdoor curtains are washable, so they will stand up to the elements. We placed faux olive trees in both back corners to draw the eye immediately up to the stunning surroundings and the lake! For lighting in the sunroom, we chose this gorgeous dome pendant to add a soothing coastal flare to the space. We layered two rugs in this space to create added natural dimension and warmth. The patterned rug is machine washable which will be great for outdoor spaces!
For outdoor seating, Amanda already had our very favorite Outer Furniture set (I have one myself that we use almost daily)- This set is so great! It’s made of multi-layer memory foam cushions (this is usually found in upscale mattresses). OVERVIEW ::
We LOVED getting to design this entryway!
We wanted it to be functional while also making a statement when you first walk into the home. We selected this beautifully aged brown mango wood console table that emits a warm, found feel, with subtly rounded edging and float-like drawer. The drawers provide great hidden storage for anything like keys, etc. These gorgeous baskets below will also provide extra storage! We layered some artwork and decor to create a warm and cohesive look.
We loved getting to watch this space come to life. It’s absolutely stunning (see photo below).
