Porche Picks: Our Outer Furniture OBSESSION

Alright guys…it is high-time I wrote this post 😂 I get SO many questions about our outdoor space @ThePorchePlace! Most specifically our incredible Outer sofa, the fire table, the rug and the outdoor pillows. Today, we are sharing all the details of our patio @ThePorchePlace below along with a few more of our favorite outdoor finds to help you complete your own outdoor oasis.

I absolutely LOVE our Outer sofa for so many reasons that I am going to attempt to convey to you in one post :) I received mine over a year and a half ago and I can truly say that I love it even more today than the first day we got it. Having two small kids, a new puppy (& being at home MOST of the time over the last year) we absolutely love spending time outside on our covered patio. I can truly say that the Outer sofa is the MOST comfortable sofa we have ever owned so it brings us outside on a daily basis. I tell people all the time (and I’m not kidding) it is by far, more comfortable than our indoor sofa. The reason that the Outer sofa is so comfortable is because the cushions are made of multi-layer memory foam. They are super thick and slightly moldable when sitting. The sofa has become my favorite nap spot in the Spring and Summer.

Another one of my favorite parts about the sofa is that the fabric is 100% stain and fade resistant. A year and a half later, there is ZERO fading or stains. Right when we first got it, we accidentally spilled red wine all over one of the chair cushions 😱…left it over night…and it came right out with warm soapy water with no trace left behind. Our puppy (along with other family members and neighboring dogs) constantly run up onto the sofa after playing in the yard, but I know that any dirt they track onto the furniture will easily be wiped off. PHEW- it is NOT easy to keep dogs off of things!

We clearly love the durability of the Outer sofa so much, that we upgraded our outdoor rug to an Outer rug as well. You can check out all of their rugs on the website too. Oh by the way, did I mention all Outer furniture & accessories are made from reclaimed plastic bottles? How cool is that?! A 9x12 rug uses over 1,100 of these- SO amazing!!

Another super cool feature about the Outer sofa is the patented Outer Shell. This a weather-proof covering that rolls up and rests behind the seat back cushions. It can be pulled over the cushions and secured below the bottom cushion with heavy-duty velcro. This cover protects from harsh winds, rain and all types of inclement weather. Bonus- the Outer Shell also has a handle for ease of transporting the cushions if needed.

When designing outdoor spaces for our clients, we love to recommend the Outer furniture sets because we know first hand that they will last for many years to come while also providing comfortable seating while entertaining. Outer’s life-proof fabric, all-weather wicker, powder-coated frame and stainless steel legs are SO durable.
