Timeless Interior Design Trends we are loving

We always have SO much fun sharing our design how-tos with you each week. This week we are sharing, “Interior Design Trends we are loving”! These trends focus around some of our tried and true tricks that we use in our client’s homes in hopes that you can take back into your own homes. Today, we're excited to share Timeless Interior Design Trends we are loving! We get asked about Modern Transitional styling all the time. It is inviting, timeless and full of interest. Styling a home can seem like a daunting task, but we have a few simple design trends that make it much easier than it seems…your cozy space will look professionally styled in NO time!

When considering how to style & decorate your homes- keep in mind that certain trends will come and go, but there are also some that are timeless. These are the ones that you can implement without fear that you will need to change up your space once again in the years to come. We are going to dive into some of our favorites below!

trend 1: Wallpaper is on the rise and isn’t going anywhere.

Wallpaper can bring so much texture, dimension and interest to a room. We love using wallpaper as an accent wall, on half of the wall or on all walls in a space. It looks great in kids bedrooms to really show personality, or a bathroom to make a statement. It even can elevate the look of a dining room or office.

trend 2: Moody paint colors

Moody paint colors just instantly elevate a space and we. are. here. for. it. The warmth a moody paint color brings to a room is unmatched by anything else. If you are struggling with wanting to cozy up a room, or make a room more sophisticated we would definitely recommend giving this trend a try!

trend 3: Unique lighting

Unique fun different lighting is a rising trend right now and having a unique light fixture really does add height and interest to any space as well as makes for a great conversation piece for years to come.

trend 4: pastel tones

Pastel paint colors are soft, serene and inviting. We absolutely love these colors in girls rooms, nurseries, bathrooms and laundry rooms. They lend such a calming inviting feel to a space and can make great accent wall colors.

trend 5: textured walls

Textured walls create a warm dramatic feel. We are loving these walls by McGee & Co. Not crazy about the actual wall being textured but still want to add that dramatic look? Think about adding shiplap (with a moody paint color) or adding brick elements in your interior space.

trend 6: wood tones and accents

Adding wood tones and accents to your home instantly brings in texture and warmth. At Porche and Co we love using wood tones and accents throughout a home. Natural wood toned furniture is a new (old) trend that we are loving. We also love to use wood trays, stands, bowls etc when adding decor to a space.

trend 7: Stone surfaces

Stone surfaces bring a classic timeless element to any home. Whether it be stone counter tops or a statement backsplash, a stone fireplace or even stone accents.

trend 8: earth tones

Earth tones create a calm and timeless feel. Anytime you can pull elements from nature you will tend to have a more timeless look. If your walls are a neutral palette you can bring earth tones into your space in your floors, lighting, rugs, furniture, and accent decor.
