OVERVIEW ::

We are so excited to be sharing this Modern Classic Little Boy’s Bedroom Design this week. We had so much fun designing this room. Our client told us that her boys love Star Wars and Disney, so we wanted to incorporate that in the design. While keeping it youthful and fun, we wanted to ensure that the main components of the room were not ones they would grow out of any time soon.The pillows and artwork can easily be changed down the road, but the main items are very timeless and should fit them well into their teenage years.

For the beds, we selected the Larkin Black Metal beds from Crate & Barrel that have simple and clean lines but will make a nice subtle statement against the white alabaster walls and the beige carpet. To lighten up each bed space, we selected some lighter textured 3x5 rugs to be placed in front of each bed and nightstand. This will create a bright and comfy landing spot for the boys as they get into and out of bed each day. We recommended Beddy's bedding for the boys beds. They look nice, are super comfortable for kids and easily zip up for quick bed making! We also suggested a navy throw be placed across the end of the bed for added texture and inviting dimension. At the end of each bed, we added grey washed wood toy chest for a large storage area for the boys toys and knick knacks.

We choose a large navy dresser with a simple round leather strap hanging mirror to top it pulling in the warm wood and leather tones throughout. These tones are also included in the warm wood desk (with contrasting metal baskets for storage) and leather desk chair. Behind the desk is a simple but unique book/toy cart with a plush bean bag chair to create a welcoming spot for the boys to read and relax in their room. I selected a lighted Star Wars sign to be centered on that wall above the bean bag chair and book shelf for added playfulness and lighting functionality in the space.
